Just the tip of the iceberg with a lot of upcoming roofing works on the horizon across their SEQ sites in the new year.

Some of the @qldroofsolutions team have spent the last few weeks up in Rockhampton carrying out a mammoth amount of dry pan flashing installs at a homemaker site for the legends at Centuria.

Tens of thousands of rivets and cyclone screws installed to secure the kilometres of flashings into position to withstand the cyclonic winds in the area.

This work is absolutely top shelf and if you’re in the industry you’ll understand and appreciate how difficult of a job this was flashing around the existing HVAC ducts and working under plant decks for weeks on end.

An intricate cottage reroof completed for an Upper Coomera local who have only just had their insurance payout come through from the Christmas Day storm.

The finer details will be missed by most but as a roofer/plumber, you’ve got to appreciate the finished product and the neatness of it 🙌🏽

2) Tile watercourses cleaned to remove debris/silt.
3) Battens removed and disposed of.
4) Heavy duty sarking installed.
5 New hard wood battens installed.
6) Tiles reinstated.
7) New spring clips installed.
8) New bedding, weep holes and pointing installed.

NO MORE LEAKS ✅

Barring a full roof replacement, installing sarking is the only way of ensuring your tiled roof is 100% waterproof.
Not many people will go ahead with this method due to the high cost as a result of the work involved but this client did and they’ll be sleeping well this storm season.

Proud of the @qldroofsolutions team for recently completing this incredibly challenging roof replacement at 31 Sherwood Rd, Toowong. And we managed to save our customer over $40k by going a few steps further than our competitors were prepared to go ⬇️

In order to avoid extra costs for road closures, traffic control, permits, power isolations and crane hire in an incredibly busy inner city location, here’s what we did.

Spent over a day walking the site and speaking with people in neighbouring properties to see if anyone would come to the party for access and after striking a couple of deals 💵 access was granted ✅

Arranged out of hours delivery of one of Australia’s largest scissor lifts and broke it down to fit it through an undercover car park, scraping through the underside of the concrete slab by 10mm after removing and reinstating a commercial roller door for access ✅

Gained access through a neighbouring shopping centre and cut out and removed sections of chain link fences for the scissor lift to get close enough to the building ✅

Attended site on a Sunday after arranging an after hours supplier drop off of materials and manually shifted approx. 300m2 of roofing iron 100 odd meters from the street, through a car park and up a ramp that felt like Mt Everest after the first hour ✅

Used the EWP to transport the 300m2 of roofing iron, flashings and box gutters to the roof area ✅

Rebuilt the fences, broke down the EWP, removed the roller door and reinstated it again and got the machine off site, on a Sunday. AGAIN ✅

The team may have hated everything about the lengths we went to in getting the materials on to the roof and the job completed (pretty sure they hated me equally as much throughout this process) but the appreciation we received from the client in saving them a substantial amount of money was well worth the effort.

The job itself has come up an absolute treat as well 👌🏽

Well done to all of the team involved in this. The lengths gone to to complete this were beyond admirable 👏🏽

Big week for the @qldroofsolutions team with the crew completing a 1500m2 reroof at an industrial property in Acacia Ridge for Darveniza Property Group and also managing to knock over a reroof in Surfers Paradise for the legends at Australian Unit Administration.

Both jobs came up 👌🏽 as a result of the teams high attention to detail and communication with the sites tenants.

Another incredibly busy live environment below the roof with hundreds of cars in storage but the boys managed to get through it without issue 👏🏽

We love working for clients who are proactive in looking after their tenants and genuinely care and take action when it’s needed.

The Centuria team are one of the best in the business when it comes to making things happen for their tenants.

If you have roof penetrations on your roof for skylights, vents, A/C plant etc and they are solely reliant on silicone to prevent water ingress, you’re probably going to have a bad time. Just like these guys were 😢

The installation of a dry pan flashing will all but guarantee that your roof will be leak free for many, many years by providing a mechanical means of diverting water away from the hole in the roof as opposed to relying on silicone that breaks down over time and ends up failing.

A worthwhile investment for all roofs that don’t currently have them installed.

This email was made a bit more special as we were advised prior to our arrival that the landlord might be a bit frustrated as other roofers had been to site multiple times and they couldn’t find the source of the leak. Meaning the landlord had been putting up with resultant damage from the roof leaks for a lonnnnnngggg time.

Being able to turn around a frustrated owner in despair to illicit a response like this is worthy of a pat on the back to all involved.

Another challenging job working in a live environment above the main swimming pool and being smack bang in the middle of a wind tunnel with the surrounding high rises directing high winds directly to our work location .

Nothing the team couldn’t handle though 💪🏽

No more leaks or internal waterfalls for the swimmers to enjoy.

The @qldroofsolutions team recently completed this industrial reroof for our friends at Darveniza Group at one of their Geebung sites.

2500m of new safety mesh, insulation, skylights, iron, whirlybirds and gutters installed for a very happy client and tenant.

The tenant was that impressed with the work and communication throughout that they went out of their way to call both us and the landlord to say thanks for the top notch ✅ service and made note of the substantial difference in heat reduction the new roof has made for them.

They’ve also engaged us to carry out works at their private property which is a testament to the work carried out by our team.

Massive thanks to our team for knocking this one out of the park and being mindful of the live environment with people working around the clock directly below our work area.

In and out with no issues and a very happy client after persisting with roof leaks for 2 + years.
